I am Chief of Staff at Section4, an e-learning start-up company in New York City. I work directly for the founder, and with the CEO & leadership team. I manage all date to day operations for the company and the founder. As a side hustle, I also work as a Market Partner for Monat, a luxury haircare and skincare company. I partnered with them, because not only did the products work to change my hair for the better, but they are all-natural!
My current favorite CFP flavor is Coconut Creme; though Pumpkin Spice is a close second (I stock up every fall). Most mornings, I brew it with my Keurig on my way to work! My favorite way to make it though is in my French Press.
I think if you can start your day off right, it sets the tone for the rest of the day. Self-care in the morning, daily, is extremely important and set us up for success. For me, a great cup of coffee in the morning is something I love and enjoy. So whether I am taking that cup to work, or getting to sit down for brunch with a great friend, coffee is part of my morning routine.
My advice is to know your worth and live in a place where you believe “I am worthy”. For years I didn’t know my worth. I lived in a place of believing the lies and labels others had told me. What most people don’t realize, is your worth, is connected to how you see the world. If you feel like you’re incompetant, insecure, anxious, or like you just can’t do anything right, take a moment and check where those feelings are coming from. For me, they were all based in the idea that I wasn’t worth anything, and therefore my work was never good enough. Once I realized, addressed, and healed from those lies/labels, I began to have confidence in my work and myself. Realizing my worth changed who I was into who I am supposed to be. So if you don’t know that you are VALUABLE and WORTH IT, try and identify the lies you are believing about yourself, because they are LIES. Choose to walk in the confidence to know you are WORTH IT.
One thing I have been working toward is making for conscious choices to live a “cleaner” lifestyle. For me, this means choosing products that have less chemicals, and more natural ingredients. I have started this with cleaning products, shampoo and skincare (oh hey Monat!), groceries, and even coffee! You have no idea what type of chemicals are on your coffee beans, before they were packaged, ground and brewed into your cup. Did you know Chicago French Press coffee is completely organic?! You can get great coffee without having to worry about drinking any pesticides or other chemicals. So glad to add them to my “clean choices” list!
